Alex & Lydia getting to know each other again.
It is three years or so since they last met so had lots to talk about.
Alex on the left & just starting her second year at Lincoln Uni is a real Kiwi now, she just loves living in NZ & all she wants is her own herd of cows, a boat & a bach.
Lydia of course is in her first A level year & took some revision with her as she had exams in January.
I got my camera out today intending to do something meaningful with the new lens I bought in Singapore but every one was blurred!!!!!
Will have to practice again, in the meantime more holiday photos , sorry!!!!!
Three good things:
1. Harry & I have had a GOOD clean up in the house & by golly it needed it!!!
2. I have started really enjoying ''The Life of Pi'' but it is a very odd book!
3. Have really gone lazy & am enjoying staying in ( not like me at all !!)
Lovely capture. My sister and her family live in Oregan so we don't see them very often but our daughters seem to pick up where they left of when my they visit.
Gorgeous photo Pat.really lovely looking at them catching up.I think the snow makes us a bit lazy..I wanted a quiet day today after my b&bs had gone but Alex and children had other thoughts!! I need a good book..any ideas?
Lovely capture and composition. What lens did you get, Pat? I'm so pleased you're starting to enjoy Life of Pi! Yes, it is odd, but well worth reading :)
It's lovely seeing cousins getting on - it's the sort of relationship that can really withstand the pressures of time and distance. What's your new lens then? How are the knees?
@kwiksilver@judithg A cheapy lens I was persuaded to buy in a Camera shop in China town Singapore. I was after a nifty fifty but he showed me a lens that was wide angle & macro. Cost me £240 & came in a leather pouch. The lens is so hard you cannot make a scratch on it no matter how hard he tried. A Vitacon Japanese lens of two parts that screw together DSLR Pro-series MC AF Digital 58mm 0.5X Wide AngleLensW/macro. Will demo some shots soon hopefully!!
Granddaughters?? That cousin relationship thing is a strong one. I was always amazed at the relationship between my daughter and her cousin. Time and distance mattered not. They could get along as if they saw each other every day. Lovely capture, by the way.
The interaction between the two will be put into a proper journal for your family! They are both old enough not to be silly or try to impress! I think you need to be lazy - don't feel guilty!
A simply wonderful capture of the friendship and bond between these lovely cousins. Another priceless family photo, Pat.
Sounds like a fun lens that you found in Singapore...looking forward to seeing some shots with it. I have a macro lens on my wish list.
Take advantage of your 'laziness' and use the time to rest, regroup and renew...it's a perfect time of the year to do just that. :)
