Refurbished.

My very favourite shop in Garstang has had a paint job on the outside.
Lottie the girl who owns it painted the whole of the outside herself in Farrow & Ball Downpipe Grey...took her three whole days to do one coat!

This shop sells lovely shoes, boots & sandals of all types & makes, they are in the part on the right. In the back they sell stuff from Barbour, Joules, White Stuff etc plus the sale shoes....any pair for £30.

On the left you can see the clothes side , trousers, dresses etc & upstairs are all the sale clothes.
Plenty of variety for all!!

Three good things:
1. I managed to buy some Lavender Hidcote plants for the some old crown chimney pots we have bought...not too keen on the newer varieties!
2. Enjoying watching Andy Murray on court now.
3. The switch off button ....he is not doing too well!!!
Looks like a lovely place. And isn't that colour great with the pink? Love your 3GTs - especially about he off button

Well I'm a big fan of f&B. looks very classy. Surely deal or no deal is more painful even than murray loosing!

@fueast imhaqve switched back again now but I love Deal!!! No class Alison!
July 3rd, 2013
@happypat it sure doesn't!

It looks very smart - F & B Bone is the colour I have used most - inside though. Nice framing.

Oh she did well there - what a lot of work. Obviously a woman on the ball - great choice of clothes and I bet they don't let just anybody stock their lines - just John Lewis and Lottie!! I had every faith in Andy ;0)

It's amazing what a coat of paint will do for a place! It looks like an absolutely lovely shop.
BTW - that smiling fellow in my garage cleaning shop is the recipient of all the sporting goodies. He is a native Welshman, a sheep producer like ourselves.

Oh that is gorgeous......................
Had a date after school in Aberdeen with my husband tonight so missed the drama of the Murray game but watching the highlights! WOW that must have been stressful to watch!
July 3rd, 2013
@judithg I thought he was going to blow it tonight ....couldn't watch some of the time & we switched over but all well in the end!!!
You would love this shop Judith & the sort of shop where you can just go & look & come out even after trying something on! 50% sale stuff in the late summer too!
July 3rd, 2013
@sarah19 Very stressful Sallie!! I bet the whole of Scotland was holding their breath!!
July 3rd, 2013

@happypat Trying to resist going in White stuff at the moment - I need to buy some gravel!
July 3rd, 2013
@judithg Gravel.....well I wouldn't put it top of my list!!! We have picked our chimney pots up tonight ...now they are very trendy things...will show a photo when they are in place.

The flower tubs are so beautiful and probably have to be watered from the upstairs windows! Not easy but perfects the front of the shop! So, Andy won did he? Haven't got that news yet!
July 3rd, 2013
@happypat Looking forward to seeing what you do with them - I've got my grandad's old chimney pot but I've never put anything in the top. Gravel's expensive - I need it for the pond area we did last year which has all sunk! I admit it's been nudged off the priority list quite a few times but now we are sitting out the pond is annoying me!

Blast lost the lot! My message wouldn't post so I refreshed the page and lost it! I said, the flowers are so beautiful and would have to be watered from the upstairs windows but they do perfect the front of the shop! Didnt know about Andy - haven't got that news yet!

It looks like she did a great job with the painting

That is the most adorable shop I've seen in a quite some time. The grey paint looks fabulous with the glorious bursts of pink flowers. You and @judithg gave up on Andy too soon. What a great five set thriller that was yesterday...it took the boring out of peeling mangos (for a dessert I was making). I'll be pulling for him on Friday in the semi-finals against Janowicz!.

@peggysirk he he Peggy I did manage to watch the last set but it was nail biting stuff wasn't it....the other guy played so well!!!
Will miss Wimbledon so much next week though going to be a heatwave here so will be out in the garden...great day for you today...enjoy!
July 4th, 2013
@maggiemae So infuriating when that happens & you can never remember what you put the first time!!!! Never thought about the watering...will check next time. They have been professionally put up so could have a watering system.

July 4th, 2013
@judithg Gravel does make a big difference, just all looks a little more finished off somehow....lots needed by the sound of it!
July 4th, 2013

July 4th, 2013
