Lack of ideas today so this mug shot for all you lovely dog owners.
Three good things:
1. Alex our granddaughter managed to be airborne out of Wellington airport 5 mins before the earthquake hit the Wellington area of NZ.
2. The gift of two new point of lay pullets.
3. Autumn planted potatoes in the ground.
What fortuitous timing for Alex!! It must have been a harrowing experience for those on the ground in Wellington. I hope the rest of your NZ family was far from the epicenter and suffered no damage, Pat. Earthquakes are a crazy, frightening phenomenon.
Such a cute, fun mug...and so true. Animals give us way too much credit. :)

Thank you all & Alex was lucky although I don't think anyone was hurt as far as I know but would have been inconvenient for her having to wait around with mum meeting her in Hamilton at the other end.
William felt the quake apparently but not Brian as his farm only up the road but on firmer ground. I hope @maggiemae is alright though!
Thanks for reminding me to buy seed potatoes to plant soon! Glad about Alex! How old is she? A Wellington 365er told me about the earthquake otherwise wouldn't have known! A wonderful network we have! I Love this mug ( it wouldn't apply to cats)!
@maggiemae Alex is 20 maggiemae & was on her way home from Lincoln Uni for a week or two holiday. I thought you would have felt it as it was actually in Seddon which is on your South Island...just shows how you take earthquakes in your stride were as we are thinking the world is almost coming to an end!! Glad you are all OK then
I am loving the dog theme. ;) We have had a few earthquakes, no big ones though, thank God. It is beyond eerie having solid ground move beneath you. Glad Alex was in the air!!!
I love that mug - although mostly I think Monty thinks I'm a food dispenser! Makes me feel a bit sick the though of the airplane takeoff/earthquake combo.

Made me smile this morning - having an interview today and I'd just substitute 'friends' for 'dog' in my version!! xx
