Roof Garden.

I was quite fascinated with this little mound of alpine plants which were well established on the roof of the pub next to the canal at Garstang.

Three good things:
1. A lie in this morning & no B&Bers in this weekend the first time for about 5 weeks.
2. Our niece passed her driving test.
3. X Factor back tonight.....I know I am pathetic watching such rubbish but it's quite entertaining when you have nothing better to do!!!!

I really like the texture in your shot and the roof garden reminds me of French cottage thatched roofs with a line of irises or similar plants along the top of the roof.

How fun to spot that!! Have spent the whole of yesterday working on older daughter's house, and all day today house hunting with younger daughter. Have just about had it with houses...all I see is work work work. Now a pub I could handle!!!

@bpaquette I have just watched Escape to the Country a programme which takes couples round houses to but in the area they want to buy in...lots of houses of different shapes & prices...we love house programmes in the UK!! I will come & help look but I wouldn't want a pub...long hours Barbara!!

@happypat Haha - I meant sitting and relaxing in a pub!!! Do you have "House Hunters"? The couples look at three houses then decide which one bests fits their needs. Great fun. I love the home improvement shows, too...Since I used to have a remodeling/handyman business, it is ever so great to sit back and watch how much work is done in 30 minutes. Including commercials!!
