Tui thanks everyone for their concern but as you can see she is recovering well.
The vet told us to keep her in for ten days but this morning she was off down the lane as usual & Harry met her coming back with a piece of garlic bread in her mouth...visiting the neighbours as per usual...supposed to be on a permanent diet!!
She also had a very large plastic collar round her neck to stop her licking her stitches but was scratching them with her foot so we decided to cut the collar off this morning.
Loving the fact that we are giving out the four tablets she is taking embedded in a Jaffa biscuit.......life back to normal!!
I never did any commenting last night what with all the carry on & backwards & forwards with the dog until 8pm so will make up for it tonight.
Three good things:
1. Pretty much all ready for Christmas.
2. Soup & a warm roll for lunch when we collected the turkey.
3. Loved the atmosphere in the village this morning...just buzzing with shoppers & Christmas cheer.
@quietpurplehaze Oh hilarious Hazel, I couldn't believe it when I read it back...such bad grammar as you can see I have rectified it!! Thank you so much...it pays to read through before you post!!!
Haha! You two are very funny! Tui certainly seems very unconcerned and that's a good tip about the Jaffa cakes, perfect for embedding pills. We have a whippet, a Clumber spaniel and miniature dachshund here at the mo! Chaos!
As bless her, she does have quite a wound doesn't she? Wonder what happened. She looks like she is waiting for the next drug round! Merry Christmas Pat x
Aaaw !! bless her --so glad she is home & up to her old tricks again And like Oliver Twist the appealing look on her face seems to say "Is there more ,-please is there more !! "Merry Christmas to you & yours
Bless her!! Garlic bread & Jaffas - LOL - se's the dog equivalent of Adam! We get our turkey delivered and it's lovely but I do miss going to stand in the queue at the butcher's with the Christmas toys all playing and the camaraderie.
@judithg Yes I know what you mean Judith the atmosphere is always great. I watched Kings tonight & it was beautiful but was shocked at the dark circles under some of those lads eyes...they must be tires with all the practising plus school work.
She looks quite happy - cats are far harder to fool with pills - I have a sort of syringe which shoots them down the throat, then keep the mouth closed for far longer than you think
It just made me giggle at the time, Pat - and then I thought perhaps I shouldn't have said anything!! A horrible accident for poor Tui and hope all is well with her soon.
@jantan Thank you Jan & you also...you still have the animals to see to though but once you get out in the fresh air you realise you have sat still long enough!! Have a wonderful day!
@jantan It was funny when we went to the vet this time. When we were milking cows we used to have the vet fairly regularly for tests & diagnosis etc etc & they used to present us with a bill once a month. This time as ''ordinary '' civilians we had to pay up front before they would bring Tui out...Ransomed!! xx
