A very wet day today so am really glad I have got some photos from yesterday in the bag.
Looking across to Clougha Fell from Littledale.
Three good things:
1. Lunch out at the Cartford Inn.
2. A proper fire next to us while we were eating.
3. Watched a fantastic programme on Russia last night....I think the second part is on tomorrow.
Gosh, what a difference 150 miles makes. It has been glorious here all day! Lovely landscape Pat. Your lunch sounds better than my beans on toast, good though they were!
It's been glorious here all day too - in Hampshire - you may of course be near here too!
Beautiful green-and-pleasant-land landscape. Lunch out - very civilised!
I am wondering how you pronounce that name - it sounds very un-English! We have lots of restaurants with fireplaces in them here and I do like sitting beside them!
Such a peaceful view. There's plenty going on in Christchurch. There's a lot of controversy over which buildings they should save and which they should allow to go. The cathedral is very badly damaged and they can't agree on what to do with it. There's a lot of bad feeling in the town. It's actually very interesting to talk to the people and hear how they feel, also to see the effect the earthquake has had.
Such a gorgeous green landscape, Pat. So idyllic and peaceful.
Just finished watching the Federer/Murray match. It just wasn't Andy's night. Such a short time since his back surgery...I think he did well to make it as far as the quarterfinals.
