Oh I do like to be beside the seaside....... by happypat

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside.......

Blackpool at it's finest!!!
This photo is SOOC I didn't need to do anything to it....the light was brilliant yesterday afternoon with some proper sun!
You can see Blackpool Tower is under some construction work as usual.....they seem to be forever working on it these days.
North Pier in the distance, one of the three piers in Blackpool....badly damaged by the sea in the recent gales it will have to be refurbished.
If you look large you can see that odd square box which is gold in colour......you would never guess that it's the new wedding chapel...yuk!

Three good things:
1. Much better today thank!
2. I have made a start with the clothes sorting for my holiday.
3. Looking forward to an evening out tonight in Kendal at some friends house for a meal.

Thank you all very much for the faves & lovely comments on my Boo photo.....thrilled to get on PP again thanks to you!
Gorgeous light and sky. Many visits there as a child. New here and following, look forward to your photos Pat.

great shot Pat, it was a lovely day yesterday (and Saturday!) I was at Clacton but my camera was at home! Hope you're doing OK. Things crazy busy with me at the minute...having to make some big grown up decisions and plans so a bit disjointed from photography!!

@sparkle Hi Juliette....I know you are still around & guessed you would be busy.....sounds like changes might be afoot...hope it all sorts itself out ready for your triathlon season...you gotta do what you gotta do & I know you enjoy that. I am fine...off to NZ on the 12th so will have a break from 365 for a month. Look after yourself!

Great shot and the see looks so calm. I really like the way the sunlight is lighting up the pier and seafront. Super composition.

@happypat sounds great Pat - you'll have a fab time, you must be getting excited! Mine's all work related, some mad stuff in play, but I've been invited to become a partner at work and it means big changes (like going self employed) and so i'm doing a lot of work to check out finances and implications on holidays / moving house etc etc. A lot to take on board...whilst all the time getting busier with working and being away! My body is still a bit wonky from Ecuador so taking training steady but need to be back at it within the next couple of weeks or so! Once I sort everything out I might need a bit of creative space so photography can be moved to the top of the pile!!

This is on the Trending Page so must be popular with our photographers on this site! I like the dark sea and the light on the sand - it looks golden! Nice to think you can drive to Kendal for just a meal!

Brought back memories. We used to go to Blackpool regularly when we were kids. I particularly remember donkey rides, the pleasure beach and the competition in our car as to who could see the tower first on our drive to Blackpool.
