Poor boy he was quite upset & didn't like being a show goat at all. Marching backwards & forwards across his pen & making loud noises but he was very soft & loved all the stroking & attention he was getting.
Two seconds & a third for my photos....bit disappointed as you always think yours are good but I must say the competition was very strong in a few classes.
Looking at the competition I noticed that there were sort of two levels.....the everyday snapper of pictures & then a big jump to the more advanced photographer....just a few of the same names as last year won the first three places so I counted myself lucky to have bridged the gap slightly.
No messing about with smaller 6x4 next year ...straight into the A4 size, they give much more impact!
I won the amazing amount of £ 3.25!
Sorry seriously lacking in time for any commenting last night & probably same today...
Three good things:
1. I managed two hours at the show so didn't miss out.
2. Was taken out for tea unexpectedly.
3. Good weather until folk were going home.
Ooh I like him! He does have rather a concerned look in his eye tho doesn't he? I just love country shows.
Sounds like you did really well with your photos. I think you should give some very careful thought to how you spend your winnings - nothing hasty now!
This is a late entry too! The goat has got strokes and an award for his great Roman nose, and now 365 is recognising Pat has been out here in the show for ages for this photo and being so strong! An award for the photographer here! I would have been so pleased to have got in the top three!
I agree, a very handsome chap. Love the earring too. Two seconds and a third for your photos is brilliant. How does the saying go. "Better than a slap in the face with a wet fish". a bit Monty Python there.
Our exhibition photos are either A4 or 8 x 12 inches.
He is indeed very distinguished. I noticed just the same at Warkworth show - almost all classes won by the same man (professional level) and his daughter, then some rather good but not professional then some rather badly edited efforts. If we are up there at show time next year I might enter as an outsider - could do with a windfall ;0)

Well done on your photo success, the prize money is unimportant, it's the fame and adulation that counts!
