A pretty corner of the Lake District....a walk near Wray Castle.
Loved the little dainty green parasol!
Three good things:
1. The Commonwealth games on TV.
2. Blackpool FC have just about scraped together enough players for a team but no goal keeper yet...a sad state of affairs !
3. The Focus,a free local monthly magazine for our area.....tells you all sorts of things!
What a pretty little village... nice shot... Yep enjoying the Games as well.. pretty proud of our local lad that won Gold in the weightlifting yesterday...
What a beautiful scene.
When you watch the Commonwealth Games check out the stadium lighting. A friend of mine is the consultant in charge of the stadium lighting. He organizes the lighting for the commonwealth and Olympic games, has done for years.
Forever England!! Lovely country scene. I'm not a football supporter but saw on the TV news that the Southampton players are leaving their team in droves!
How absolutely gorgeous! That barrow of flowers, the sight of a cafe in an old English building, the neat road signs! Unfit for vehicles -! They should put "unfit for unfit ladies" on some walks that I have done!
@maggiemae indeed Maggiemae....we walked down the road to the right for about a mile then turned left along the lake side, past Wray castle & then up the road by the parasol....a round trip of about 4 miles I would think.
@quietpurplehaze oh dear Blackpool isn't the only team down on their luck....most say that money has been pocketed by the chairman at Blackpool! Lots of rumours!
A beautiful spot
