A shot from yesterday posted early today as I am off on my holidays at 2.30am in the morning.
I have been busy all day with change over guests & leaving two bedrooms ready for two ladies coming in for a wedding on Saturday night.
Harry is going to cook their breakfast but I am leaving everything ready...even the table is laid & covered up.
I have a couple in too who have been staying for the last week looking after their grandchildren while mummy is in hospital after having third baby. She isn't well so still in hospital.....they are staying in top bedroom free for next few days....no breakfast , no room service just a bed to kip down on.
I don't think Harry will be lonely!
I am going to Killarney so really ready for a change if photo op...batteries all charged up!
Sorry i will have no time to comment while I am away but hopefully might have time to post!
Three good things:
1. Looking forward to five days of laughter.
2. My little grandson Max is four today....we saw him this morning on Skype sitting in the tent in their sitting room ...camping with daddy in his new Spiderman ready bed.
3. Rice pudding for tea!
The fact there is no graffiti here and no rubbish all over the ground makes this little alleyway into a very pretty sight! Happy holidays! Doesn't Harry mind?
@maggiemae no he doesn't mind because it means he hasn't to go!! He is not a holiday person & only goes away under sufferance. When we were milking cows & he had no time off I had to decide if I made a life either staying at home all the time or do my own thing sometimes. A lot of farmers wives do the same & he us used to it. There again it's only been in the last 20 years , before that we went nowhere! First holiday we had was to London on our silver wedding ! I do like to see different places but happy to go home again!!
Not all alleyways lead to beautiful sights do they -- but at least the rubbish is in the bins and as Maggie says -no graffiti all over the walls !!
So pleased for you to be able to go away to Killarney on your hols -- lots of prep Pat before you go away --I'm sure Harry will cope very well with your house guests !!I have a very soft spot for Southern Ireland -We spent our Honeymoon there and my friend Pat and I hope to go there next year on a Coach trip for a week or so --( we had to cancel our trip there 2yers ago due to my illness !! ) Happy Hols Pat !
Thank you all so much, as for the spare B&Bers no problem, regular customers & really tidy guests so only means a change of sheets when I come back... Off to have a shower, watch Bake Off then to bed! XX
Great looking alley way,... Oh my gosh George and Harry sound just the same... really hard to get them to leave the farm.. I was hopping it would get better when he finally retires... have a lovely break and I look forward to your photo's..
Very typical back ally, good industrial feel
Have a fabulous break away, you are a lovely lady to help the couple and their daughter; I am sure it is much appreciated and I hope their daughter recovers
