Texting fingers...they move so quickly, twice as fast as mine!
How did we manage with out our mobile phones?
Three good things:
1. I managed to recreate the fantastic warm duck salad Lydia & I had yesterday.......Harry enjoyed it even though it had a bit of ginger in there.
2. Jack has freed some of my space on my iPad......all done from Sheffield too!
3. Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt.....yummy!
We have these priceless conversations with sammy about how things have changed since we were little and not like how things are for him. He was doing the Victorians at school a few weeks ago and woild ask frequently if we were alive then or not and knew about things he learnt at school from our childhood.
Lovely rings! Jack is a whizz - I need him to fix my Mac from Sheffield - it keeps reporting spyware and viruses tonight but not what to do about it...
Lovely capture -- I can not believe how all the modern technology has taken over our lives ! I remember my Ist microwave oven -- big and cumbersome - but a marvel !! and the mobile phone -- well I wouldn't dream of going out in the car without my mobile --just in case !!
Yes we would be lost without our phones.. I went into town yesterday and forgot mine I very nearly came back home to get it .. but common sense prevailed and went without it for a few hours... warm duck salad sounds good...
The young ones seem to use their thumbs so quickly. I'm used to typing and can't do that while texting so it takes me about 5 minutes to text one message! Chocolate and seasalt?? How different!. Jack is very clever - good to have "Jack's around!
When I look back to my youth I do feel times have come on in leaps & bounds...most of it for the better I think even though I suppose we look back through rose coloured glasses mostly. When you see old films I can't help but think we can't have been that clean compared with today & our daily showers & baths. Once a week & a change of clothes the same....gives you the creeps thinking about it! We have been lucky us born after the wars though..must be glad for any changes. Thank you for your comments .......much appreciated. I am off to Emma Bridgewater factory tomorrow so no posting probably.
I wonder if 30 years from now, this generation will look back with nostalgia to the days they carried their phones with them and texted constantly. Who know what will replace it?
Lovely capture of her hands and pretty rings. Technology has and is moving so fast and has lots positive sides. However when you see couples out together and talking into their phones instead of to each other I do wonder.
I wonder how we managed before mobile phones too. Recently while staying in Sydney we checked out restaurants on Google. Found a lovely Indian restaurant which had good reviews, put the address into the SatNav and drove straight there. would have taken hours in the olden days, ha ha.
When I watch some of the young ones texting it amazes me to no end. They use all this shortened language, but I always spell everything out so of course it takes me longer
