After checking into our accommodation in New York it was quite late in the afternoon so as we were only about ten minutes walk away our first trip was a walk around part of Central Park. It got our legs going again & was very interesting .
There was no sign of Spring at all so it seemed very wintry & cold with it but it was one of the highlights of our trip.
Lydia climbed this large rock & I liked the way the afternoon sun caught the beautuful buildings.
Three good things:
1. Travel to exciting places.
2. The hustle & bustle of such a famous place & actually being there.
3. Our very central accommodation.... A 100 yards to the corner, turn left & we could see Times Square yet we couldn't hear a sound at night.
I shall post my New York photos on the days they were taken so you might get a bit tired of them after a week & too any at once so no need to comment unless you really like the photo......it's more a diary entry for my project, but thank you any way!
@anazad511 Thank you so much Ana but I arrived home this morning....we had no time to post or even go online much while we were in NY....too much to do & see! These are just catch up ones for the diary. Such an amazing city ...our feet never touched the ground! Thank you for the fave too!
@cejaanderson No we didn't Jane despite staying on the same street. We knew that the Rock is actually a better view & we did talk about it but thought we should put the Empire State Building first ...it is the one to go up ...so little time!
Welcome home, Pat! So glad you had a good time in NYC!! I wish it had been a little warmer and more spring-like for you...but we seem to be slow getting to Spring in the Eastern US this year. Wonderful shot of Lydia in Central Park! I'm looking forward to seeing all of your New York photo posts. I ♥ NYC!
I wonder if the rocks were natural - seem too big to be shifted there! The other two guys seem to be turning away from Lydia - she might have embarrassed them yelling at you? I'm going to enjoy seeing your photos!
@maggiemae Sorry no reply last night ......I couldn't stand the pace & went to bed!! We had flown overnight so a long day yesterday! Not sure about the rocks def natural but I woud think placed there. It is surprisingly hilly in Central Park more towards the North ......very pretty & would love to have seen it all green....it must be such a haven in the hot summer!
I never went to Central Park during my visit which is a very silly mistake.
