The nursery...... early morning by happypat

The nursery...... early morning

As I went to let the hens out first thing this morning the mummies & their babies were all behind the big shed. Two more born yesterday & tonight we can see one sheep on its own beside the fence so perhaps more lambs tonight.

I am a little erratic at the moment with commenting, extra work to do & lots of visitors.

Three good things:
1. First swallow seen today!
2. My car has gone in for repair today.....insurance has insisted on a new bonnet even though they can repair it but £20 cheaper so no contest! A throw away world!!
3. Harry continues to improve slowly.
good to hear Harry improving. I went up to the fields out the back of our house where all the baby lambs are - soooo cute!

Beautiful and the light adds so much. I love early and late photos.
First swallow - well spotted!!! We've just been for a little walk after tea but really still could have done with a cardigan / jacket!
Hi to Harry and hope he's feeling better every day!

I think this is well taken with the sun outlined on their backs and the lovely green pastures, trees and English houses in the background! They do look like the ones I took a photo of - the females don't have horns? fav
April 22nd, 2015
@maggiemae yes I realised when I had another look that the females only have little tiny horns.......you can hardly see them. A very hardy breed I think....they seem to lamb with no trouble & the lambs are very agile & up feeding straight away!

Good to hear Harry is improving.. lovely shot of your 'adopted family'.. what are these sheep grown for .,. they look a bit 'goatish',,
April 22nd, 2015
@julzmaioro Very goatish Julz.....not for their meat that's for sure! The wool is a bit iffy too......course & dark ...we are using them as lawn mowers!!
