The owners of these small shoes are in Wales for a couple of days visiting family.
It's quiet without them!
We are going to the knee specialist tonight for a progress report on Harry's new knee.
He has gone bowling this afternoon so is doing pretty well. Still has pain especially when he has driven anywhere.
Three good things:
1. Learning about seaweed, apparently there are 10,000 different species & it's good to eat!
2. Watching a great ladies match between Maria Sharapova & unseeded Coco Vandewegh while doing the ironing.
3. Our digilant police force......we had a phone call from police headquarters checking if everything was OK....Finn had been on the phone & dialled 999. She was very serious & took our name & asked twice if we needed help......must have been trying to get through for a while as I found the phone off the hook! Thank goodness no police car arrived we would have been mortified & in more trouble!
My granddaughter is visiting her mom, and her toys are not all over the floor, and her high chair isn't sticky. I miss her. And my husband has an MiRI on Friday to check his knee. Your picture tugged my heartstrings.
What a great idea! I'll take the blue suede! I am impressed that you can multitask tennis watching and ironing, Pat. I know I would have scorched clothes.
@quietpurplehaze Well it's one of those presses Hazel. I sit at the table & it's only a matter of threading all the sheets & pillowcases through....I don't need to look too closely! TV certainly helps the job along! Thanks for the fave!
A cute reminder of the small feet that has given you so much pleasure these last few weeks !! I love your police stories -I can relate to that -when Gary was small he also dialled 999 As he thought he could speak to his grandma -in Welsh NAIN to him 999 was like calling nain ,nain ,nain -- got frightened when someone else answered and dropped the phone !!
Very sweeeet! Wish I'd done things like taken pics of little shoes but I suppose we didn't waste film. Oops on the phone front - too easy with push buttons.
You always find something to shoot, Pat - and do it well! These shoes have not been through mud! How amazing about that call - how did he know to do it 3 times, not 2, not 4! He needs a toy phone of his own!
@maggiemae Oh he has maggiemae but he knows the real thing! The shoes on the left have got wet time & time again....if I had known I would have bought them some cheap wellies....Finn loves being out side.
Lovely shot. I had to laugh about Finn dialling 999. I said in yesterday's photo that he looks as though he had been caught doing something he shouldn't.
brilliant shot Pat, who would have thought all those years ago when you joined 365, you would be doing artistic pictures of little shoes with fab DOF and a super POV. In your first year you would have shot them standing up :)
FAVED for simplicity, composition and the fact you can produce such fab shot now :)
what a lovely shot and great pov Pat. Love little shoes. I have a pair of little boots that were my mothers so they would be nearly 100 years old by now and I also have a pair of mine and my daughters first "best" shoes too. There is something very personal about them. Glad Harry's knee is progressing. seems to me a lot of patience is required to get these new parts working smoothly.
Love the way you've captured this Pat. You photographs will hold such precious memories of the wonderful time you've having with your family. Hope the specialists report is good. My daughter is having two spinal decompressions shortly. We don't have a date but she has pre-admission clinic tomorrow so very soon.
@thistle Slow at replying at the moment ......too much on! I do hope all went well with your daughter Joyce & when the time comes for her op it is successful.
Sweet, sweet shot, Pat! I know you have been having a marvelous time with the owners of those little shoes and look forward to their return from Wales.
Hoping that Harry received an encouraging report from the knee specialist. He must be making remarkable progress if he's back to bowling. Perhaps that residual pain is a normal part of the recovery process and will lessen with a bit more time.
I am also amazed that he knew to dial 999, kids certainly have the .technology and great that the police did a follow up. Yes your photos are certainly capturing lots of sweet moments with amazingly simple shots.
The police episode made me smile. Our police are very good!
Ah, I was thinking old-fashioned iron! Love the shot!
