This was the only photo I took today & that was because our rental property has come up for let again. The estate agents wanted an up to date photo to put in their window so I have emailed this one. I managed to hide their washing behind the tree.
We are are sorry to lose our present couple as they have been here over four years but they have bought a house in Great Eccleston.
Originally belonging to our son & daughter in law before they moved to NZ it adjoins ours being all one house so we are slightly apprehensive who we get......we can pick though, so hope we get it right!
Three good things:
1. Lydia is eating pudding in Wellington.
2. I have taken some bags of stuff to the charity shop.
3. Reading a book called Four Fires by Bryce Courtenay. I already enjoyed a couple of books by him that were recommended by @judithg so trying him again with success. He wrote The Power of One which I loved.
@thistle Neighbours are so important to your quality of life Joyce....a bad neighbour is nightmare! Hope you get someone lovely who doesn't intrude but is friendly!
A lovely house -- I hope you will be able to find suitable neighbours -- friendly but not intruding (as you say ) our next door is also just sold !! I just hope Ill have good neighbours !!
@judithg Well I thought it was you...perhaps Jan or Sparkle not sure. It it was good. I think it could have been one of the books on the list we all made.
Plenty of good references is what's necessary that can be verified. Need the referer's number and address. The photo shows great quality so only persons of great quality can apply! Preferably those who don't run out of sugar all the time!
@maggiemae The estate agent we use is very particular maggiemae. They look at three months bank statements, references etc. they tend to sell the more unusual house too so only get professional people looking. Costs us but we don't mind that. Only ever had two lots over the last six years. There is a prospective one coming to view soon already so must get cracking with a few upgrades ASAP .
Hope you get lovely new neighbours. We have had an empty block of land next to our house for the 17 years we have lived in this area and now they are building a house on it, so we will have next door neighbours soon too. I gather that the couple who bought the land are building the house for their retired mother, so fingers crossed our new neighbour will be nice.
