Market Cross

Thursday is market day in Garstang, lots of stalls line the High Street selling everything from socks to carpets.
A lovely day for all the traders today. Makes such a difference when there is no wind & it's sunny & fine.

This is where the cattle & sheep were sold on market day in Garstang not that long ago, they used to fence it off & auction the livestock in front of the Royal Oak pub.

Three good things:
1. The recent heavy rain has been wonderful to clean all the dust & mess from round the house after the painters have finished.
2. A small bright pink cyclamen on my kitchen table.
3. Beef stir fry for tea.
All your three good things sound good. Very quick tea so can take sammy out tonight. Beef stew would have been lovely!

Lovely old building - part of the Village Square - always the centre of life in a town. Where is the picture of the newly painted home?

Lovely village scene. I love markets. David always makes a bee line for the bloke stalls where they sell tools etc.
We are having Moroccan lamb for dinner tonight. One of my batch cook meals from the freezer, so only have to heat it up and cook the rice. Easy dinner.

@onewing Don't you congratulate yourself when you are so organised? Have been really bad at commenting tonight, catching up wit Bake Off & Doctor Foster. David would be in his element at our market, loads of tool stalls!
