I have never been into the part of Manchester where the Metro runs before.
These stations were raised up in the road so a great chance to photo this shot without having to bend down
Lots of work going on to extend the areas these trams reach around the streets of Manchester.
Three good things:
1. I have spent time & many long minutes sorting out our BT bill. Apparently you get a version of BTSports when you have broadband with BT but since August they have been charging us £4 a month for the HD option even though we never asked or wanted BT Sports....you have to watch them these days. Took me three goes to get it sorted!
2. I cleaned the inside windows.
3. Lily has had a make over! Her hair brushed & wormed & fleed. She is very happy this week as her favourite B&B guest is here all week. She is not allowed upstairs but sneaked past me this morning to wait outside his bedroom door.
Nice shot and I can't help wondering what BT are charging us for as we have BT Broadband. I think I shall have to check our bill because it seems to be going up and up
All these thin jean clad legs! A busy and casual picture from a big city! It pays to look at statements and bills nowadays! I asked for the itemised receipt from an Indian grocer yesterday and disovered he had added $1.50 which he couldn't explain!
@rosiekind Ours has been astronomical lately Rosie, just check they aren't slapping a £4 charge on it for HD sports. Actually they did juggle it around knocking off the odd charge such as the display thing but akwYs beware as they of course renew your contract at the same time but unless you ask they dont tell you!
Great photo.....very colourful and interesting.......I've never really been to Manchester apart from passing through when heading north. Jonathan was keen to find out where Manchester United's football ground was but don't think he visited it.......yet!
I did smile at Lily's story ........
nice streetie shot Pat, the person with the parka is hiding from you . Reminds me of our Nottingham trams. 3 hours or three goes, good old customer services, sounds about as good as virgin medias customer service
Interesting shot. I don't think I would recognise Manchester now. Market Street has changed so much. I remember the main stores in the 60s were Lewis's and Pauldens. I remember Pauldens being destroyed by fire and I suppose Lewis's is long gone now.
A great pov and candid scene - interesting about the raised platforms and to look through at the crowds on pavement level .
Love your story of Lilly --I had a smile at tour Lilly treatment ,before her special guest arrived !!!
Great capture Pat. Don't start me on BT but then at least we're not with Talk Talk!! We've always stuck with BT but feel it's about time people who've been with them forever got a loyalty discount. Perhaps I'll suggest it!
@thistle Yes do Joyce, they were quite happy to negotiate a new deal & made a couple of things free but always remembering that once you do that they renew your contract for another year. So many complaints how the price has shot up!
