Travelling up State Highway One to Picton along the coast road today.
So many wonderful views of turquoise seas even though it was raining.
At one point we saw a seal just sitting at the side of the road, couldn't stop unfortunately but I did take some seal pictures on the way down.
We are in a home stay B&B in Picton tonight, very friendly but lacking in the modern amenities of a motel. The electric blankets don't work for a start! It's surprising how welcome an electric blanket is when you have been travelling in the rain......I shall buy some for our beds as soon as I get back.
I put flannelette sheets on for the winter but it's still late summer here & chilly.
We are away before breakfast to catch the early ferry so the B&B lady is making us a picnic breakfast....now there's something you don't get in a motel!
Well the picnic breakfast might be good value but the cafe on the ferry has rather good food! Try the chips! In Picton they probably don't need electric blankets but they just might have mosquitos ! I'd rather need the blankets than the mosquitos!
A lovely sea scape -- love the pop of turquoise of Nin's Bins ! Nothing like a electric blanket to take the chill off the bed and make it into a snuggly nest !!
@onewing I haven't let on to these two that I run one Babs! We saw the wood place at Picton today as we drove the scenic route, thought of you. Apparently only the very large cruise ships dock in there because the water in Shakespere Bay is deep enough.
What is Nin's Bins, I need to know know that I have read your text twice. It does look chilly but lovely coastline. Now can you go back to Nin's Bins and tell them they have missed the apostrophe out in that name.
