Well we are in Melbourne for four nights & a great city it looks too.
A sail up the Yarra River round the harbour area was most interesting. We then did the tourist thing & caught a city hop on hop off bus so we could get our bearings better.
This evening we ate at the Waterside on the side of the river...it was really buzzing with night life & people. I think @sarah19 daughter Laura who works here in the city must love the whole place!
Unfortunately not surprisingly I seem to have sand in my camera so it won't work at all. I have had to use my iPhone today which I have not enjoyed as there is no eye viewer & it's so hard to see what you're taking when the sun is on the screen.
We fancied an icecream so called into this Haagen Dazs icecream cafe but they didn't serve take away. We sat inside & theys served up beautifully presented icecream....a real experience!
Great shot --these iPhones come in handy at times But I must admit I prefer to have a camera in my hand , sorry re your camera --I hope it can soon be restored without too much trouble ! !!
Ah, now I see whats wrong with the camera! Remind me not to put my camera down in the sand!
This must be a very valuable spot in the middle of the city with no big skyscraper built! Just right for good icecream (not as good as NZ ice-cream, though)
@maggiemae Do you know I never had an ice cream while I was in NZ I don't think.....I am not really an ice cream lover it was more the ambience of the place & I just shared one, it was very pretty!
Shame about your camera. A friend of ours had sand in his camera but David blew it out with his air compressor, it is fine now.
