Not very often we are celebrating our longest reigning monarchs 90th birthday!
The sun came out for the celebrations & there were some wonderful scenes in Windsor this morning.
A very hastily put together photo as we are going out very soon.
The flag should definitely be at the top & it's no great shakes as a photo but a reminder in my pictorial diary of a special day for our Queen.
I have been really tired this last couple of days, I think the novelty is wearing off both of us! Finding it a dreary time taking so long to do anything & I'm getting fed up now!
Three good things:
1. That I like reading!
2. That I have lovely visitors.
3. That I haven't broken anything worse!
Yes - a very Happy Birthday to my Queen as well. We are all truly blessed to have such a wonderful monarch - and her dear husband who is such a strength for her.
Thank you for reminding us of her birthday - I heard but forgot.
@gijsje I'll try not Bep, I think I might be doing a wee bit too much! Out tonight but it's hard work getting to the point of actually eating the meal! Thank you.
Watched a two hour doco tonight about the queen.. her family talking about her and behind the scenes. It was really good. She is amazing lady. She has alot to fit in into a day's work I bet you are getting brassed off... hang in there.
A great tribute to the Queen's birthday. Hope you are feeling more positive now. It is so frustrating having a fractured leg isn't it. Everything takes so long. Could be worse though.
Definitely an occasion to remember. Sorry to hear you're starting to get fed up - being laid up can be so tedious. Have they said how much longer you have to be on crutches? I know you know, but it's so important that you let your ankle mend properly - it could be quite a problem in the future if it doesn't.
Thank you for reminding us of her birthday - I heard but forgot.
