The taste of summer

Another day spent sunning myself in the garden & topping up my NZ tan, life's not bad with a broken ankle!

Three good things:
1. Our lovely Lydia's 20th birthday today!
2. Micro peas.
3. Last of the potatoes planted.
Oh yum! I can hardly wait

Reminds me of making fruit compote - raspberries, plums, strawberries - when my sister and family visited. Matthew, my nephew, was amused that it kept re-appearing at table in different smaller dishes as we ate more of it!

Just had some raspberries with my cereal.. yum .. can't believe that we are still getting locally grown raspberries this time of year..
Once you get your plaster off you will have to work on that one leg.. pleased to hear you are getting some summer weather.

Your potatoes are rather late in planting are they? We do ours in September so that would be your Feb. I can just about taste those tangy raspberries!

Summer on a plate and what a gorgeous plate!

@maggiemae frost here last night so we can't plant them too early. Harry covered them up so they should be ok. We have longer winters than you & February is usually very cold.
