I can't top yesterday's photo so a much more boring one today.
Monday's lunch venue was rather an attractive place I thought, a little bit of Spain in Preston!
I have just seen the time & my camera must be an hour out, I know we ate early but not that early!
I must thank everyone of you that faved & commented on my lovely youngest grandchildren's post yesterday. PP & Trending, I was so proud when I saw them on there!
Loved reading all your comments & I know Jo did too!
Three good things:
1. BFG, an excellent film for young & old, Mark Rylance was a very charming & lovable giant! I reccommend it for all young at heart!
2. One of the builders fell of the roof yesterday on the house build next door. I heard today that he is fine & got away with just two broken arms.
3. My wrist & thumb support came yesterday & it's working much better than bandage but it's been very sore today, I have no idea why it's worse some days than others!
You have such a knack for finding quaint shops and outdoor malls! They are all so picturesque!
Lovely memory shot of your lunch.
So sorry to hear the worker fell off the roof. Lucky he only broke his arms, but that will ruin the rest of his summer.
Looks very quaint. Love tapas we have a great one near us. Yesterday's pic must of been the best birthday surprise out. Hope that new strapping fixes your wrist/thumb quickly. Poor builder he will be more careful next time.
This is just lovely with the blue light lighting up this alley! The paving is just waiting for your feet to walk down it and sit down to enjoy tapas! Imagine breaking both arms! You couldn't feed yourself!
Such a beautiful little alley-way - hope you enjoyed your lunch ,and everything was as good as it looks here !
Sorry to hear your wrist/thumb is still giving you pain -- hope the new support will help
@beryl Thanks Beryl, I must admit I'm disappointed at the slow healing of my thumb. It's not as swollen but still sore most of the time. Worse when I overuse it such as fastening buttons etc!
@farmreporter thanks Wendy, glad you like my quick photos of everyday life, these days I never seem to have the energy or inclination to go out specially with my camera & it shows for lack of originality!
@julzmaioro It was a big surprise as I don't post until later in the day so to find a photo there already was really good & what a photo! I think it's just time with my thumb, must admit it did cross my mind to go back to A&E today but tonight as I sit & rest it its calmed down again so I think it's just taking its time to mend.
Is this really Preston? looks lovely and shows what a little imagination can do to make the quaint alleyways so attractive. Sorry about the poor chap who fell off the roof. Having both arms out of action must be a huge handicap
I love how both sides of the picture are almost the same. the poor builder. He's lucky to be alive and walking but how on earth will he manage with two broken arms. Your poor thumb will feel better in frimer support I am sure. Sounds quite dangerous around where you live :)
@cruiser He he it dies doesn't it! I think his mum will be looking after him, feeding him etc, he was quite young so still living at home! Yes thumb slowly improving. It's not swollen anymore but still amazingly painful if I try to fasten anything etc. It throbs in all different places every day!
@claireuk this was Winckley Street Claire, a short street leading from Fishergate onto Winckley Square. This place has always been there as I remember it when I was at school but changed massively of course, it does look lovely though.
@thistle Preston has quite a few little streets that people have made the most of, the centre is very attractive now & of course we have lots of parks & green spaces. Trees all the way down the Main Street which are lit up at night....we are quite posh these days!
