Many colours on the fells last night as I drove along the Trough of Bowland. The green of the pasture, the reddish hue of the dying heather & the white sheep dotted about in every direction.
I set out this afternoon for a long walk & get into a more active mode, I have been very lazy in walking since I broke my ankle, time to get moving! I reckoned I walked five & a half miles & that last hill was hard work!
Three good things:
1. Lawn mowers! I saw so many older chaps mowing their lawns today & loving it!
2. A postcard from Lydia who at the moment is in Florence lucky girl!
3. An ice cream cornet from Bonds half way round my walk.
Well done with your walking! Take care with that ankle - will probably be weak forever! Mine is - I didn't break it but twisted it badly but not only that, danced on it afterwards! I can't wear high heels now - ever! Not worried about that though! This is lovely with the gentle slopes and that wonderful green field!
@maggiemae I'm pleased with my ankle as it is only slightly swollen tonight. My legs are tired though, I think I overdid it slightly but cinema tomorrow so I will have an easy day. I am hoping still to be able to dance!
