Apple harvest in October

A quiet beautiful sunny early October morning.

I couldn't resist going outside with my camera before I started bed changing this morning, who could resist this gorgeous weather?

Only 4dec C so winter is approaching.

Three good things:
1. Bramleys apples almost ready for picking.
2. Looking forward to the singles & the final day of the Ryder Cup.
3. I have some chicken marinating ready for our evening meal.
Beautiful! It was gorgeous here too.....but white frost on grass in places!!!
Still lovely and sunny outdoors and warmer out than in at the moment!

I think most of us in the UK have been blessed with a gorgeous sunny October day -- I love to see the apple trees with the apples ready to be harvested -- I only wish I had one in my garden !

Lovely Pat, there are odd moments when I miss 4'C but not often!!! Seems we are getting a bit of a hiding in the golf!

@ruthmouch No not too far behind Ruth, all playing very well today but I think the USA might just edge it!

@beryl I'm surprised you haven't Beryl, you have almost everything else!

@happypat The back garden was a n orchard of apple trees and one huge pear tree when we came here We got rid of all but two apple trees -a lovely cooker and a eater/cooker -- the others didn't seem to fruit much . But gradually these trees gradually died of old age . In the early '90s I bought a new apple tree -but it never came to anything just having two or three apples each year and often they dropped off before ripening SO it had the chop .,

As it is chilly you wouldn't want to bring a chair out and stay in this lovely green yard in the sun but the inclination would be there! Actually, we have forgotten what the sun looks like!

Gorgeous sunlight. I am not so sure that 4 degrees C and beautiful go together though, ha ha. I am not so sure I could cope with 4 degrees these days
