Alexandra

Number one granddaughter finishing her recent Mount Cook marathon.
Alex is really into her running although I have no idea where she gets the energy from after just finishing calving hundreds of cows.
She works so hard & thinks nothing of milking 700 cows on her own!
I think she looks amazing after running all that way, hardly a sweat on!

My friend & I have been to the 25th Anniversary live showing of Miss Saigon this afternoon.
I must sat we enjoyed it very much.
It's weird watching something you know is happening live in the Prince Edward Theatre. You can see the audience & hear the applause but we are not properly part of it. Great opportunity to see something we might not get chance to see normally.

Three good things:
1. Seeing all the various cast over the years all on stage singing together plus Cameron MacKintosh the famous producer.
2. Lamb Henry in the oven & Harry had the veg on when I got home.
3. A new baby boy for Rachel my hairdresser.
Wow... she's quite the woman!! Congrats to her!!

What a talented family you have. She still looks full of energy - she could be at the start rather than the finish!

She must be so fit - perhaps we were at that age? Good to see the smile on her face and that she is still running, not collapsing! I'll have to investigate this Lamb Henry!

It seems the busy they are the more energy they have.. Donna works hard runs around after the kids and then still has the energy to do sort of races in the weekends.. oh to be young again..

@maggiemae The longer it cooks the better Maggie, I put mine in at 12.30pm before I went out. It was dropping off the bone just like we like it! It helps that our Aga is on all the time so it's not like putting the oven on especially! Would Cook in a slow cooker quite nicely. My daughter doesnt leave hers in that long though & it's fine.

Just looked at your recipe, I bought mine from the local butchers already for oven done in mint sauce, none of that faffing around for me! I just cut the plastic bag off, put it in a tin & slapped tin foil on the top & put it on the middle shelf, our oven is turned quite low.

Well done Alexandra! I've never been to one of these live showings at the cinema. We did have the chance to go to see the Miss Saigon showing but declined as we have already seen the live show. Also had the family for dinner tonight! Glad you enjoyed it though. I'll get to one one of these days!
