Our local Cartford Inn is the nearest place when we want to go out for a meal.
The present owners have just celebrated ten years there & in that time they have completely extended & renovated to a very high & quirky standard.
You can stay for B&B, costs much more than mine but roll topped baths etc don't come cheap!
They have added private dining facilities in a separate place plus a gourmet shop selling spit roast chickens, fancy salads & all things fine.
As we passed yesterday this old guy must have had a good meal as he shot out of the car park, round the corner & up the hill!
Three good things:
1. Elderly working legs.
2. Hot Ribena.
3. A spare left over sausage this morning!
Lovely shot Pat , just as well that he had a good breakfast before attempting that hill on his tricycle In a weird but modern sort of way reminds me of the old "Hovis " advert !!
Now I wonder who got the sausag!. Ray told me that in Japan now people of our age (his and mine!) are called the 'semi-elderly'! Don't know if I'm flattered or not.
@quietpurplehaze Ooh that's a bit harsh sounding but is it better than elderly I wonder? I don't even like the word elderly so don't want to be either!
The pub is not at all frilly from the outside but the inside is why people go back all the time! I've not seen one of these three wheeled bikes for awhile - mostly they are mobility scooters! It doesn't look electric either - good for him!
Golly! I hope he looked to the right before he darted out. I guess he had to get up speed to tackly the hill. Thats the sort of bike I need although we have far to many hills around our way
Thank you all for kind remarks, much appreciated!
