Every Thursday there is a market in Garstang. Stalls line the full length of the narrow High St.
Today it was extra busy because it's Good Friday tomorrow so everyone stocking up on supplies for the Easter weekend.
Three good things:
1. Cadburys mini eggs.
2. The taxi never came for our lovely neighbour Dorothy so I took her to the doctors & waited. She was in & out in half an hour. She is such a sweetie!
3. They were spreading slurry yesterday in the fields & the smell was so bad I couldn't hang the washing out, slightly better today! We are used to farming smells but this is horrendous!
Looks like a lovely day for you.. you are a nice neighbour... oh I know what you mean about smelly stuff.. some of our neighbours spread chook poo .. and wait until the wind is blowing away from their own house.. burns your eyes and back of throat..

Great pov and capture of your lovely country town . ,and its Thursday street market A lovely sunny day but very chilly winds here ( I shall need to pack some warm clothes !!) I do not envy you the smell of the slurry !! -- my eyes water thinking of it !!
A good day to have the market - hope the weathers fine for your Easter. You will have to keep all windows and door shut and put scent things in the wall plugs. I had to do that yesterday - the smell of bacon lingered in the house!

We get some awful slurry smells around us at times and I understand your feelings!
