I have had a gardening afternoon so a flower shot today.
I tend to do my gardening at this time of the year in a mad rush then do nothing at all the rest of the year!
I think I'm pretty sure I have posted this thrift before but it's at its best just now.
Three good things:
1. Harry & I had a look round the house next door this morning before the neighbours complete & move in tomorrow. I was so impressed, no expense spared, even have a split slate wall as a feature above a wood burning stove. The good thing is when I got back to our house I still liked mine best!
2. The new hens are perching themselves at night at last!
3. Proper soap.
This is in your lovely big concrete trough? They are so good year after year! Glad to hear about the hens being accepted - can be a worry. Agree with proper soap - don't like the foamy stuff in the shower or bath!
A lovely display of the thrift ,mine isn't in full flower yet ! - love the thrift growing wild in N W Wales and Anglesey on the rocks along the sea shores . It always reminds me of a pin cushion with nob pins sticking out !! I have seen your stone trough before in your photos and love it very much -- so nice to have something of your farm in your garden !
Very pretty. We have some self-seeded thrift that grows on a stone wall at the back of the house... unfortunately, it seems to be a slug magnet this year!
Beautiful shot. I hope your new neighbours are as nice as our new neighbour. We had an empty block of land next to our house for years until recently and we are so lucky with our lovely neighbour.
@onewing I hope so too Babs. We've never had such near neighbours befire so we must mind our p's & q's! No shouting or falling out outside!!! They actually aren't in sight as our house is on a higher level than theirs so we can't see each other but will be able to hear them when we are outside entertaining.
I like mine in bottles!!
Must see if I can get some up here as that is such a wonderful pink.
Beautiful 2nd time around too
