A Shropshire Lad...I think!

I'm not quite sure if this beautiful rose is of the variety A Shropshire Lad. I know I bought one but not quite sure if this is it, looks a tad pink for me to be sure.
Nevertheless it's my favourite rose in the garden. It does have a second flush of flowers later in the season but I love the early blooming especially when the lavender next to it is flowering too.

Three good things:
1. I bought some stocks yesterday in Aldi but was not impressed with the quality, unusual for them as their flowers are excellent normally. Anyway they changed them for me no problem.
2. I only popped into Garstang briefly but was ages as I talked to around seven friends as I walked around. I love shopping locally!
3. I blame Aldi for my new purchase from my favourite shop! If I hadn't gone to change the flowers I wouldn't have been anywhere near the shop! A women's logic!
This rose is stunning.. can't help with the name .. not one I have heard of.

@julzmaioro Yes just been watching on TV from Chicago, Julia! Very exciting! This looks a lovely old fashioned rose and a really deep pink. It is nice resting on that old stone! I'm wondering what Aldi sells too!

Now we're all curious as to what your shopping was! The rose is gorgeous. It's lovely when you bump into friends and have time to chat.

@julzmaioro I bought an orange linen tunic that can be used as a jacket too. Will be good with skinny trousers. Will do a selfie one day when I'm wearing it!

@maggiemae Aldi sells everything maggie. A German firm that has completely bulldozed the UK supermarkets. Lots cheaper & we have a new one in Garstang, poor old Booths is really suffering!

Lovely shot. Know what you mean about shopping locally. It takes me ages to shop when I am in our local shopping centre. always someone I know in there and you have to stop and chat to each person you meet don't you.

Love this gorgeous rose...so beautifully ruffly and frilly like a peony. Such a lovely photo.
I see you're an Aldi fan, Pat. My daughter keeps telling me about how great Aldis is, but I have yet to visit one. Must do that.
