Back home again after our brief stay in Hawkshead.
This Is a little foody shop in the village called The Honeypot, it sells all sorts of relishes, jams, honey, delicatessen foods such a dry smoked bacon & sausages.
As you can see here they have an impressive variety of cheeses many of them made in my county of Lancashire. There are about five cheesemakers within a five mile radius of our house, some you can see here.
Hoped to take some wonderful Lake District scenery but it rained!
Three good things:
1. Lovely to spend time with Garth, Cathy & Lydia.
2. Lily was a good girl for Beryl.
3. The weather was foul but the woodburner was going, so cosy!
Great choice of cheeses - how do you make a decision! Where are the crackers and grapes! The cheeses in Canada are wonderful too - the French influence!
Love the sound of the Leagram's "Volcano" Bobs Knobs!! I think I'm rather glad I don't live to close to that selection of cheeses, would do the old cholesterol no good at all!
These look wonderful, I would love to know what "Organic Bob's Knobs" are, the container is green and has the red top, on the bottom shelf. Do you know what they are?! Such a fun name!
@louannwarren I have no idea what this cheese tastes like Lou Ann but isn't it a great name? Should have bought it perhaps but we aren't that keen on fancy cheese & don't actually eat I that often & then more as cheese on toast.
@happypat We have a great market with a vast cheese section, the next time I'm there I will look for it and if the cheese monger is there I bet he will know. I will let you know if I learn what it is!
