I was surprised to see so few people on the beach today at Clevelys.
School is out & it was a really warm day 23deg with no wind, where are all the families? Is being on the beach too boring for today's kids?
Three good things:
1. We saw a great film today, The Assasins Bodyguard. It wasn't a film we had any desire to see but as sometimes happens it was a gripping, exciting sometimes funny rollacoaster chase through the streets of London & Amsterdam. Lots of use of the F word but you have to ignore that sometimes! A good mans film but we really enjoyed it.
2. Cathy has sent me some preprinted address labels for Jack, his address in Japanese & English is not easy!
3. Clean sheets.
What a gorgeous view - and no one to see it (except us lucky 365 members!)
I remember waking up excited to go to the beach every morning all summer - the best place for kids to be!
A FAV!
Well they don't know what they missed out on... I went to the beach a few mornings ago and was surprised as to how many people were there.. horse trainers.. dog walkers.. runners .. and me photographer.. and z lone little seal playing in the surf.. and it's winter and only 8 deg then..
A lovely seaside view with all that golden sands -- I suppose families are not trusting this unsettled weather ! -- but I would love to be there shuffling my feet in the sand - I am off to Llandudno at the weekend -- si perhaps a chance there !
@quietpurplehaze We are using linen sheets at the moment Hazel. Got them from Dunelm Mill. Dorma at half price & we absolutely love them, so comfortable & cool.
@beryl perhaps not Beryl but the weather forecast was really good today, I think perhaps Blackpool down the road is more popular. Have a wonderful time in Llandudno, I know you love it there.
@dide@gijsje T was somwarm out there when we came out of the cinema, I was amazed not to se more families sitting enjoying a summer afternoon at the seaside. I think Blackpool probably had a much larger crowd.
People too busy getting ready for school to start? They were here! Good to see this was a PP photo! I'll look out for that film - we love car chases too - and European ones are good to see!
Pat, very many thanks for your review on the book. Thought I had better just flag up that the predictive text has made 'survived' into 'survey' at the end of your post.....
It's changed already Pat. Amazon are very quick off the mark and when Ian, the publisher, tells me something will be changed it's always done way before the time Amazon give.
@quietpurplehaze oh good Hazel.....I should have checked it myself when they emailed me! You must have good relationships with the publisher obviously! 😀
