When Anthony & Jo were over in the UK this summmer we both bought a pair of these boots. I actually wore mine out for the first time today.
Jo went back to NZ & they have been much admired & a friend has asked me to buy a pair & post to NZ which I am doing willingly.
Had quite a bit of fun this morning sorting it out. First I had to take a photo of said boots in different colours & of course my phone had not been charged overnight. I had to go in my favourite dress shop & ask Caroline to charge my phone.
Back wards & forwards to NZ chatting & deciding before giving up because the size wasn't right. I have since ordered them online so all's well.
Three good things:
1. Had to laugh as when I was texting NZ I was sitting on the low window sill of the local pub, a friend came past & asked if I was waiting for opening time!
2. Just thinking how 365 has brought so much to my life as the boots are for a 365 friend.
3. Started reading the massive proper book that is called World Without End by Ken Follett. I gave read The Pillars of the Earth years ago & its always been my favourite book. Have had this sequel a long time so have finally started it as the 3rd book is about to be published. Struggling with such a big book & so very tempted to buy it on my kindle but that would be so extravagant!
Love the boots to.. I see they are Reiker.. have had their shoes before and they are fantastic our local shoe shop stocks them perhaps we will have them here next wi yet... watch this space..
You wouldn't want to go trekking through mud and brambles in these! Very smart! The postage is going to be a whopper to NZ for boots! We have Reiker here but I haven't noticed boots like this1
@happypat@andreajoy It may be that I saw this particular style of Rieker boots on ebay and the stockist could have been in the UK. Glad you were able to find them though. Well done Pat.
@onewing@andreajoy hope they come soon! I did talk to the stockist today & it turns out that if I had spoken to them in person they would have posted them to NZ! Good to know but it's as broad as it's long really. Will let you know when they come Andrea!
@andreajoy posted them to you on Tuesday Andrea! They came early that day so put them straight in the post. I took them out of the box though as it was cheaper to send.
