Blackpool Tower bare of scaffolding!
A very unusual sight I can tell you!
Nearly all year round there is some sort of scaffolding up some part of this tall Blackpool icon.
It's good to see it in all its rusty glory!
Since they dropped one of the barns in the farmyard we can see this from our kitchen window on the skyline.
Three good things!
1. A lovely day shopping with DIL in Blackpool.
2. Made a start on Christmas shopping.
3. Found some Christmas cards I liked. I bought last years online but dudnt like them. Nothing worse than having to write cards you don't even like!
That is cool .. to see it without the scaffolding .. love the colour.. Good for you doing Christmas shopping must start mine.. and yes we get left with some very ordinary Christmas cards ..
Great shot.....perhaps we could do a revisit of Blackpool! Last time we had 4 children with us on a grey October holiday more than 20 years ago.....they didn't like it one bit and wondered why we had taken them there!! I remembered families from my school in Aberdeen going down for a weekend and hadn't been.....

@sarah19 well I have to say I doubt you would find it any better Sallie! Ok on a sunny day in summer I suppose but pretty grim in the cold! Not your cup of tea I reckon but would be lovely to see you here!!!
Lovely to see the tower standing majestic. We always used to look out for it when we visited Blackpool as children and the first one to see it on the journey was given sixpence. You could get a sixpence every day from your house now.
Really stunning - what an iconic view. I know what you mean about Christmas cards. Peter ordered some last year and I can't bring myself to write in them!
