Cambridge is a very English sort of small town in NZ.
Well known for its expensive horse stud farms & beautiful countryside.
The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge visited here a few years ago.
I thought this tree looked great in its woolly jumper.
There was writing on the bench but I forgot to look what it said, something to do with a charity!
A lovely winters day here, sunny with temperatures up to 17 deg C.
Might not have time to post until I get home now as I leave for the airport around 3ish tomorrow afternoon.
Well I am pleased to see they are looking after their tree's in Cambridge ... Cambridge is a lovely town.. Our nearby town had some Yarn Bombing a couple a years ago .. you never knew where it was going to 'Pop' up ..
Have a safe trip home and I bet Harry and the rest of the family will be pleased to see you ... Until next year My Friend ...
Yarn bombing does make the trees look pretty but I do feel that the knitters would be better occupied if they knitted squares and made them into blankets for homeless or needy people rather than just brighten up a tree that doesn't need a jumper.
Have a safe trip home. 17 degrees is pretty warm in NZ for winter. It is pretty chilly and windy here today even though the sun is shining and only around 13 degrees C. We have a sudden cold spell hit. Hope you have plenty of summer left when you return home.
3ish sounds doable! Glad to know its not 1.20am! This is quite unusual The diamond shapes are similar to a Harlequin scene! Did pass through this place recently and noted all the wooden fences that Horse Studs have as a sort of icon!
They call it yarn bombing...I didn't know that! It looks pretty & I can see your point Babs but this was done for some charity but forgot to read which & what on the seat, I got distracted but estate agents windows!
Thanks very much fir your good journey wishes. Just had long conversation with Harry & apparently weather is gone downhill in UK just in time for my return! That's life! Flying at 8.30pm so a great time fir long 16 hour flight to Dubai, settle in, eat supper & then hopefully sleep! I am expecting a much fuller plane than the almost empty one inwards to NZ, summer in UK so more visitors!
@julzmaioro Thank you Julz, was so good to continue to meet with you & @dide. I look forward to it as soon as I land & the hat was a bonus! See you next year hopefully! ππ
