Fresh eggs

A photo I took yesterday I'm afraid. I look a terrible mess today so I haven't been outside the door!
My top lip was a bit swollen this morning when I got up & gradually over the day has swollen to massive proportions! It's happened before in the morning but nowhere near as bad as today.
I googled swollen lips & have discovered that I must have grown allergic to Ibruprofen.
My left shoulder is sore at the moment so was up about 4am taking the painkiller.
I never knew you could be allergic to a painkiller.

Supposed to be going out but there's no way I'm going through that door!

Three good things:
1. I don't need to go out!
2. I can still just about talk.
3. It stopped at the top lip only!

Poor you. At least you know not to take anymore. I love the eggs. Used to have a friend with a chicken farm but she's retired so mine now arrive in a supermarket box. They are not the same!

Gosh the brown eggs are really dark.. nice orange yolks I bet... oh poor you re your lip.. same thing happened to a friend the other day though she had a rash as well she thinks hers was a reaction from eating squid...

Lovely fresh eggs. Ibuprofen is an aspirin type of drug and can cause an allergic reaction.

@countrylassie I took an antihistamine this morning Lesley, it made no difference. The swelling is just starting to recede no, at one point the side of my face started to swell too but went no worse. Honestly you should have seen me!

@beryl I took a photo but too embarrassed to put it on here! I had never heard of ibuprofen being a drug you could be allergic too. Swelling just starting to go down now. It was so bad I thought my lip might split!

I would have checked with your doctor - it could get worse - like your throat swelling too!

Oh no, how awful. I am allergic to morphine. I discovered that when I had my thyroid removed years ago. They give a morphine drip and my fingers swelled up and I developed a rash. It is worrying when your lip swells up though because it can affect your tongue and throat. Check it with your doctor to make sure it is Ibuprofen that is causing the problem. Zoe had the same thing when she was about 5 years old and they discovered she was allergic to liver sausage of all things.

Lovely fresh shot. Sorry about your episode... glad it wasn't worse! My dad was allergic to penicillin and when George tried it his lips seemed to swell up... uh oh...

@chris17 @filsie65 Thank goodness I'm back to normal today except for a slight itch on the area that swelled up first. It has taken three days to go down though!
