Lydia popped in this afternoon & raided the fridge!
Fruit is the choice these hot days!
Three good things:
1. The B&B's are appreciating my custom of always using a top sheet under the duvet. These hot nights a duvet is far too heavy!
2. A truly lovely lady has been staying for the last three nights, she was delightful!
3. So lovely sitting out in the garden in the sun with my book!
I can almost taste the strawberries Pat. I have had some really beautiful ones whilst I have been here, so plump and juicy. We always use a top sheet on our bed at home as it makes it so easy to just throw off the duvet if you get hot. I have noticed here that most people dont use a top sheet.
@cruiser@julzmaioro@quietpurplehaze So did I Hazel, whenever we stay at a B&B there is never a top sheet. Those duvets get hot in the summer & I do like something covering me up! Good to know that I'm not unusual!
@mave@huvesaker Lydia is indeed a lovely girl & loves her strawberries!
Nothing like strawberries straight from the garden - so much flavour. Lydia is anticipating that burst of flavour! I would always have a sheet under the duvet but would also have a blanket there so you can chuck the duvet right off!
@maggiemae good thinking maggie, it's so hot at night at the moment. Temperatures of 32deg C in day so you don't need much on in bed! @quietpurplehaze exactly Hazel!
When I picked my two Sisters up from the airport last year after they had a month in the UK the first thing they said was ... ' thank goodness we can have a top sheet tonight'.. Someone should tell the hospitality people ...
A lovely image. I prefer a top sheet too, as that's the way it has always been. One of my three kids prefers no top sheet, but the others all go for a sheet.

I do not want to wash a duvet cover every time I change the bed either but I admit to being lazy in some respects!!
