Actually we have lots of parks in Preston plus the River Ribble.
This is the one I know best & the nearest one to the centre of town.
I have posted a photo before but I walked through here today just for a change.
If you look at the very centre of the photo at the end of the path you can see my old school.
Not a school now though it's been a wine bar but I'm not sure but think it might be just offices now. Just googled & it still a restaurant.
Some rather grand buildings on all four sides of this park & they are mostly offices.
Winckley Square Gardens.
Three good things:
1. A trip into town to change Harrys jeans, I had a nice potter about.
2. A lovely browse round Waterstones the bookshop.
3. Spending my voucher I received for my birthday.
@thistle@julzmaioro@beryl Yes surprising how green the grass is bug as you say lots if trees plus it's quite a lot lower than the main part of town. Just along the road from here to the left is the main Avenham Park where the river Ribble flows through.
@loweygrace@maggiemae@gijsje all the seats were taken & office works were eating their lunches. This is only a small part, I will show you more perhaps tomorrow, just wanted to include my old school.
I nearly went to take shots of the park whilst I was waiting for hubby! I used to work in the offices behind you on the second floor with a great view of the park!
Oh my we do coincide don't we? I went to Winckley Square for years & my dad had his offices just along to the right from this picture. It's beautiful now isn't it? Used to be a dark sort of place you would never dare go in during unsociable hours!
