I popped into the library this afternoon & it was lovely to hear lots of little ones singing with their mums. It was very lively but I had to be careful how I took my photos hence this view!
A side room was full of ladies sewing, knitting & other crafty things.
All in all out library was buzzing!
When I think back to my childhood & we hardly dare make a sound, I can remember mum putting her fingers to her lips to quieten us.
A strange coincidence but I'm wondering if any of my 365 followers have been to Kefalonia in the last couple of weeks? Some friends of ours met them & they knew me as happypat from 365. Our friends didn't think to ask their names. They came from Kent. Bill & Lesley were the names of our friends.
I am so curious to find out who it is!
Three good things:
1. A went a walk today but not as far as I hoped!
2. Church cleaning & a coffee afterwards.
3. A glass of wine in my hand this very minute!
Fancy you lurking behind the shelves taking sneaky images! A great pov and yes, libraries are certainly different now. I hope you solve the 365 mystery!
I am a coward about taking photos of people. That's the one downsize for me of just taking diary shots with my iPhone. I would love a very long zoom lens to take Street & people shots without anybody knowing I was taking them. Spying really but oh what fun I would have! Obviously I couldn't take photos of kids but the craft group would have been perfect.
A lovely glimpse from your peep hole ! Libraries have changed so much - lovely to see the activities going on but I must admit I loved our old library with its solid walls and dark wood so cosy , - a lovely little area for the children's library with group activities going on there - the new building doesn't have any character - just a big room ,light bright and soul less !!
I LOVE this too. What a fantastic provision for alll ages. Now that's given me an idea to include in our life skills activities.
Curious about the friends.....all the fun of 365.
@beryl I used to use the library in the Harris Museum in Preston. I called in on my way to the bus station & it lives with me still going through that imposing entrance. The building us still a central part of Preston but no library there now. The John Ryland library in Manchester is the nicest one I've been in. I did like the library in Birmingham when I met up with @thistle a couple of years ago.
I love this perspective - it gives a great feel of being inside the library. Nicely done. I hope you solve the 365 mystery! It sounds quite fascinating.
I went to the (new to me) library this week - for an ancestry session. Amazed at all that goes on and glad it's changing to a more relaxed welcoming atmosphere, not just for reading and research.
I'm squeamish about taking public photos too... but I don't think it hurts.
What a mystery about the holiday people!! Small world :)
