I went to Liverpool yesterday with a friend. There was a concert on at the Philharmonic so we stayed overnight in this lovely hotel.
All wood & brick, it was very modern but cosy too. Sometimes modern doesn't relate to a warm feeling but this hotel was perfect!

Three good things:
1. Sat Navs to help us get to places we have no knowledge of, could have been a bit tricky in the centre of Liverpool!
2. Liverpool is a very friendly city, the people so helpful.
3. Proper keys for our room, non of these fancy cards you slot in!
Nice......I'm not surprised you almost walked into one.....think I might have done the same. Lovely to have an overnight stay as it feels so much more special.
