Spent quite a while watering all the troughs & plant pots this evening, had neglected them lately! I love lavender & have lots of plants....loved the look of this one tonight.
Had a really busy day today.
Did three breakfasts, took Alex & Simon to Manchester Airport for their flight which is a good hour & ten minutes drive away.
Harry had all the washing out when I got back & I have since ironed it all.
We also between us loaded up a large trailer with planks of wood ready to go to the machinery sale on Saturday at the auction mart. Lots more to load on yet but it’s a lifting on with loader bucket job.
Three good things:
1. This afternoon an expert in roof & damp came. We had a few issues with the large expensive survey & this was a guy who came to check. Won’t go into every detail but all good except for a bit of damp. The buyers have spent a lot of money on these two guys but I truly think it was a complete waste of money...all the stuff they came up with....drains & he never ran a tap. Must have been up to a grand! We could have shown & told them more!
This little lavender is lovely.. Hidcote? It does sound like a full and busy day enjoy that well deserved G&T..
Put and hat on and become an expert and they can charge what they like..
Pat this is gorgeous - I also love lavender , and have bought a tray of 6 small plants this year in the hope they will grow a little by next year !! You are a busy girl !
You will wish you had this beautiful specimen of lavender in your new garden - maybe edge out a root for that purpose?
I think the buyers were very wise - with old houses there may be a lot hidden and really - they didn't know how honest you two are!
Oh every time I see lavender on 365 it makes me think that I should get a new plant. Ours died in 42 degree heat a couple of summers ago and we have never replaced it yet.
