My friends look after their daughters dog for three days a week while she’s at work.
Their dog died & they were desperate to have another one but came to a sensible compromise by looking after Moss for them whenever they need a dog sitter. I called the other day & she was desperate for a walk....please take me out!
Moss is a Springer Spaniel & is delightful.
Three good things:
1. I have had my new hearing aids adjusted, they made the back of my ear sore, hopefully they will be better now but I still don’t like then as well as my old ones!
2. The sun is back out again...another lovely day...back to summer!
3. A vase of mixed garden flowers,
So sweet. I’m sure everyone in the house is in better shape from all the walking. Ha! I desperately need hearing aids, I don’t really know what I’m waiting for.
Ha ha, what a smashing little face!
PS Hope your hearing aids settle down soon. I wear a pair myself and it's so important to have them right, isn't it?
@casablanca Yes really important. I’ve worn hearing aids for four years so am well used to them but these new ones are a different shape, bigger & silver, I hate them! My old company has gone out of business or the NHS don’t use them anymore, not sure which. I asked today if I could put money to & upgrade but they don’t do that apparently. He’s given me batteries for my old faithfuls & I do admit these new ones are very good otherwise, we shall see , they do feel a bit more comfortable. I might have to go down the private route eventually if I’m not happy. I have been on a research thing this week, asking questions from others on their experience.
Moss looks like a wonderful part time pet. I think I could go for a co-op dog ownership arrangement. Such a sweet photo capture. Good luck adjusting to the new hearing aids, Pat. I’m trying to convince my husband that it’s about time he gets his hearing evaluated. He doesn’t seem to agree. 🤷♀️
@peggysirk It’s an eye opener getting hearing aids Peggy...we can get free ones in the NHS but I’m not liking the latest version...I think it might be coming time to pay! They are very discreet these days so your husband will still look his handsome self but will be able to be fully present in all conversations! Mine are tuned up too high & im being deafened p, he told me how to turn them down but haven’t cracked it yet! Yes a part time dog I could cope with too!
Hope you get used to the new hearing aids soon. My friend Jeannie has just got new hearing aids, her old ones can't be replaced either and she says the new ones are so uncomfortable and she can't hear as well with them either. Nothing stays the same does it.
At first I thought he had a pair of underpants in his mouth then I realised it was a full harness! Springers need so much exercise. They are also very good at bouncing!
You need to complain about the discomfort - its like spectacles - they have to be comfy!
