A little bit of early Christmas cheer.... by happypat

A little bit of early Christmas cheer....

We went for a late afternoon walk today, down the hill past the Cartford Inn. They have decorated up for Christmas in the front so we can all see it. They are closed in the restaurant but open from Thursday to Sunday for their posh takeaways again.
TOTI deli is open from 11am for lunches.

Three good things:
1. I’m glad my trainers wash well as they got muddy.
2. Connie has been to the seaside for the very first time....Cathy & a friend took their dogs to Lytham St. Anne’s.....she loved the beach & went paddling!
3. King prawns ...I love them!
How cheery to see! 🥰

I think we need Christmas cheer wherever we can get it this year Pat. Outside decorations will be great.

I’m not one that normally likes the decorations up too soon but this year is an exception I think...it did look lovely! Sadly we will be a bit lacking that department this year as out Christmas stuff is mostly in the storage container...we only have a silver twiggy tree & a window light thing to put up this year.

How can anyone not like prawns! I've got them on the menu for Christmas Day! Lovely to see the lights through the window - it does look very welcoming!

I think we all need some Christmas cheer this year. The decorations are up in our local supermarket.

@maggiemae Well I say that but there are things I don’t like that that others do so good we are all eating different things though it’s handy if one household likes the same things! 🤣🤣

Such a cheerful sight ,I think we can not wait for Christmas this year in whatever form it may be . we shall still be celebrating the birth of Christ . . My Christmas decorations will come down from the attic at the beginning of Dec and shall gradually decorate the house ( less and less decorations seem to go up each year )- but I am happy with it !

I’m in doubt to put it up...there’s this custom in the Nl not to start Christmas before Sinterklaas but all Sinterklaas celebrations are virtual this year....and it does look very cheerful 🎄

@momamo I think I will wait to at least December....doesn’t seem right in November! 🤣

Nicely decorated for Christmas. I think it is important that notwithstanding circumstances we should still put up our decorations for Christmas. That would raise our and others' spirits which everyone needs at present.
