Stopped at The Cartford for a TOTI bun...no luck as we had forgotten our masks...will definitely go back as they are selling all sorts of lovely Christmas treats...presents & bulbs in bowls etc.
Instead of ribbons this year it’s baubles....love them but I think when the sun is shining on them better they will look even more amazing.
Three good things:
1. I finished my book. Miss Bensons Beetle by Rachel Joyce. A very different book but I loved it! Will be a hard act to follow!
2. Church open tonight & loads more there than we expected.
3. My walking boots didn’t leak today.
@julzmaioro They have been leaking for years Julz but dry today! Otherwise they are perfect...good groups very comfy they just leak where the sole meets the upper at the front!
The baubles look rather big - so as you say, when the sun hits them it could become magic. Sometimes its hard to start another book when the last one is so good. I'm like that at the moment - just don't want to pick the book up!
Do you recommend the book. I read a book by Rachel Joyce a few years ago called The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold and loved it. I have since discovered that there is a sequel book called The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessey too I may look that one up.
@onewing The very same author Babs. The Queenie book is the parallel book that goes with The Unlikely..... her side of the story & almost as good as Harolds adventures. The Miss Bensons Beetle is in the same weird vein but very enjoyable...I loved it. She has written two others called Perfect & The Music Room. @quietpurplehaze
Love the street art of the eye watching you too.
