Tree houses

Cartford Inn tree houses!

Three good things:
1. I was in Tesco this morning at 7am! I had taken my SIL to Blackpool Victoria for her day operation. Picking her up later. Best time to go to Tesco as the only people in there were the online shopper trolleys...there must have been around forty of them in all aisles. I only wanted porridge oats..we like theirs.
2. I feel a fool but today I discovered that the high setting on my new slow cooker was in fact the warming setting! I put it on this morning as I went out the door but by late morning it hardly looked hot...checked the book & wrong setting!
As you can gather I’m not good at reading the instructions! You would think the mark furthest away from the off button & most flames would be the hottest!
3. Books from the library van.

Love the bird houses. Agree about Tesco I'm a 7:00 regular normally. However it's Sainsbury online at the moment! My slow cooker has strange controls but works well once you've got the hang of it!

Cute bird houses! You were smart to check it! I would’ve discovered my error as everyone is ready to eat!!

You’ll need your binoculars to watch the birds going in and out of these cute little houses 😁. Lovely capture.

The settings on your slow cooker do not seem very logical ,Pat . and like you I am not very good with reading instructions Those little bird houses are rather high up aren't they !!

Lovely tree houses. I love the Tudor style one ha ha.
Hope you get to grips with your slow cooker soon. They make instructions so complicated these days

They look so high - too high for the stray cat which is good. Perhaps its a bit late for bird nesting now. Stupid layout for your slow cooker! The biggest flame, the hottest temperature - naturally!

@maggiemae Glad you think so too! Glad I’ve sorted it & our meal was perfect tonight....I shall keep it!

@onewing Well to be honest I didn’t read them.....😱
December 8th, 2020
@beryl very high for some reason but I don’t suppose it matters to a bird! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@loweygrace Well that happened on Sunday Lois....had to put it in the oven at the last minute!
December 8th, 2020
@thistle01 I have the hang of it now thankfully! It almost went back!

@susiemc You have to look up to see them....they wave about a bit too I would think!

@carolmw @joansmor @bkbinthecity

Pretty aren’t they...thank you.

VML the one on the right, with the black stripe reminds me of the b & w boarding of Elizabeth 1’s reign. What a thought, a bird feeder from Elizabethan times!

Lovely bird houses, nice capture with the blue sky. I very rarely read instructions too but yes you would think that would be the hottest setting.

You'd struggle to get up there for a night in the tree house! Love your story about the slow cooker, I make mistakes like that,

@s4sayer Yes very stylish...reproduction of course!!
December 8th, 2020

Nice little houses. Sorry about your slow-cooker incident - although it sounded logical. You'll get there with it!
December 9th, 2020
I have the same problem with reading instructions, generally I don't even try. Lovely find, i hope the birds make good use of them.
December 9th, 2020
You've made me question my slow cooker settings now Pat lol! I've never read the instructions either 😁

@lyndamcg Tea was delicious last night so hopefully I’ve cracked it Lynda!

I am glad that you found you had it on the wrong setting. At least now you can give it a proper go.
I am one of those people who always reads the instructions! lol
