A quick progress report on our build.
Coming on nicely, drain pipes are in & floor getting ready for a scree of cement before the mesh goes down. Once the floor is down it will look a lot better & we can start rebuilding.
The cement on the right has all to come up ready for the extension. That cement is going under Harry’s new shed as rubble.
Three good things:
1. We’ve had Connie today so of course I’ve done almost 14000 steps....tired tonight! I slept badly last night!
2. The sunshine has brought all the hedges out...trees are budding...Spring is here!
3. Jack has been helping Harry shift bricks in the garden.
Going so well, very pleased for you. Hope you sleep better tonight. I was up with chills and fever after the vaccine and then a migraine today, but picking up now. Here's to both of us snoring the night away peacefully!
@casablanca I’m having my second vaccine tomorrow, just hope I don’t feel as dodgy as after the first one! It made my heart go faster all day until 10pm that night.
Well done - things are progressing well and they have been blessed with super weather ! Good to see Harry keeping his eyes on things !and so good seeing Spring blossoming out al over !
We’re really pleased how quickly it’s coming on. Phil said once they get the floors done they will romp on!
Will be great once they start building the extra side & new roof.
Thank you for your comments....I am lazy tonight but tired. I have an early start tomorrow too so will be in bed early! Xxx
@busylady no I doubt it Judith....I’ve got lazy & can’t be bothered...think it’s time I retired! Of course we love to have people to stay & lots of guests have become friends in their own right...I think we shall play it by ear but I shan’t be advertising! The new owners of our old house is doing self catering in the annexe, she has got it really nice!
It all looks nicely levelled and moving forward!
I just have to say that your Jack is an awesome grandson.
Wishing you sweet dreams and deep sleep tonight, Pat!
@louannwarren No it’s not large Lou Anne, we have done large, now it’s downsize time but all one level, open plan & suitable for a more senior way of life...wet room etc!
The draw was the garden...we did not want a small garden round us. We are used to fields so couldn’t be hemmed in. I think it will be perfect!
@peggysirk He is Peggy, I do t know what we would do without him....will move away I dare say sometime in the near future but it’s lovely while he’s nearby, the only one of our grandchildren that is at the moment!
