No more kitchen photos I promise but just showing you the other side…the cooking side!
The builder has finished the decking, built the car port & taken lots of cardboard home in his van. Pretty much finished now except an airing cupboard to make & the roofs for shed & carport to fit when the materials arrive.
Three good things:
1. New floor sweeper, sink mat, drying pad for draining board & a brilliant cover for my hob to stop it getting scratched, all arrived today.
2. Something lost is found.
3. A vase of pink lilies!
Oh Pat, this is wonderful. I’ve been too busy to look at everyone’s photos, but now I have some time and will look at your latest photos. I know you are so happy to be in your home. I love your apron hanging there, ready for you to pop on! 😊
This is simply fabulous, Pat!!! Your kitchen is beautiful!!! I love all of the cabinetry and shelving. So much storage space! I'm so thrilled for you that you are moved in and settling into your gorgeous new home!!
Looking good! Your kitchen unit doors (and handles) are very similar to mine, just a slightly different colour. Not too many grooves for dust and grease to collect. Nice. :-)
@jamibann I really wanted flat wooden doors fir that very reason Issi but they were all far too expensive, no idea why when they must be easier to make, probably the trend just now so expensive!
@cdonohoue A hob is the stove top Cathy. It’s separate from the oven that’s why you see the oven built in here, the hob is on the work top opposite as you can see in the previous photo.
Thank you all for your truly lovely comments….I have been a bit slack on 365 lately but there’s been so much to do so doubly appreciative that you all took the time to comment here.
I do feel quite proud that Harry & I have turned this old damp neglected bungalow into this airy light clean level living home.
After living in very old dark farmhouses pretty much all our lives it’s a revelation.
All very different to the kitchen in the farmhouse.
You are giving me ideas!!!
Enjoy!
Thank you very much….all visitors welcome!
