I don’t like collages much but thought a photo for each tree wasn’t warranted…
The ground was very dry & with lots of roots so was quite a job. We put compost round the roots & watered well.
A diary shot.
Three good things:
1. We are so lucky here in this part of our world having great foodstuffs as shown on The Hairy Bikers programme a couple of nights ago.
If anyone watched them go round Lancashire you would see our former next door neighbours with their water buffalo cheese & just up the road two gin suppliers. Rich in great cheese & gin makers within a radius of five miles.
2. Out for our supper tonight at Cathy’s.
3. A chat to number one son in NZ.
The best time to plant new trees all we need now is rain to replenish them and allow them to root well !
I hope you have planted the "Christmas tree " within the sight of the house !!
Planting a tree is such a significant thing to do. Month by month and year by year they are markers of so many aspects of our lives. Sadly we had to have some cut down this year as they were too close to our house.
Well done on getting the trees planted. I think there's rain on the way so you should be OK. No I haven't seen the hairy bikers series, I'll watch out for it. Lucky you with local cheese and gin
