Don’t go shopping with an empty tummy they say & I can vouch for that!
These looked so delicious I couldn’t resist plus the were on offer….no contest! Harry doesn’t like salted chocolate so all for me…they are big & not very many in the bag so just one a night!
Three good things:
1. Harry has been for his post op check up. All well but not much improvement if any in the feeling in his hand….disappointing.
2. I have found my earrings! I looked in my purse for some change for the car park & there they were!
3. I have used my new ironing board for the first time.
Ooh Pat they do look tempting ! I am not usually tempted by chocs and biscuits but last week I bought chocs for a friend on his birthday , had the urge and ate them - so today had to buy again and put out of sight till we meet Pam and Len for lunch on Saturday ! Sorry to hear that there is not much improvement in Harry's hand -- perhaps given a little more time ! And so pleased you found the elusive earings !
@beryl oh Beryl you naughty thing….. chocolate is so addictive! If I eat these I will be hooked again! Once you’ve opened them that’s it!!
Yes disappointing re his hand. Too long with no feeling but I could have said he had been almost a year on the waiting list. Supposed to have the Deptreyans Contracture of next but he has decided to put it off six months & see how things go. Back for another appointment then. Had to laugh as H told the surgeon he didn’t want it doing in the summer as he had too much to do then. I could see them smiling…..bet they wondered what a chap Harrys age had that was so important!
@boxplayer@dide Yes bad news re hand….he’s hoping it will still improve but the doctor didn't give out much hope. It must feel weird!
Yes pleased about the earrings.
Too tempting! Glad to hear you found your earrings Pat. Tell Harry not to be despondent. I've had four ops for Dupetrens contracture. Two on each hand. My fingers aren't straight but they're much better and I can still play the piano. I also think the op stops it from getting any worse - for a few years
@busylady That’s interesting Judith. Harry has had the carpel tunnel operation on his hand but the nerves have not got any better & his feeling is still very limited. His Dupetryens op was penned in for after this one but he’s decided to wait to see if there is any improvement in the next few months. His doctor said he thinks not.
He was careful to explain that the two operations aren’t connected but the dupetryions operation will give him more movement around the thumb area especially. It’s now on hold until next autumn.

I like this picture too. Despite it just being a photo of a pack of chocolates it's quite artistic with the angle.
Yes pleased about the earrings.
But I do feel that moments of pleasure are worth more than the calories!
Absolutely delicious & I have only eaten one!!
