On our search for the illusive Japanese Maple we came the roundabout way home & ventured into old territory where we lived, Harry for almost all his life & me for over 32 years. Our kids went to school just down the road from here, you can see Beacon Fell on the left where I take Connie for a walk sometimes.
Just thought on the way home…get out & take a photo or I will get back home & think, crikey I haven’t taken one picture!
Three good things:
1. We bought a tree at last! It’s called Going Green, a pale green leafed maple with a green trunk, it turns yellow, red & gold in September.
2. Chocolate eclairs from M&as.
3. I had the best nights sleep after my pampering yesterday.
Sounds like a lovely Maple 🍁.. saw some beautiful in Taupo it obviously suits them well there.. Too much harsh salt winds for us to grow them..
Well you will have to make the facial a regular event.. worth it for a relaxed sleep..
Such a lovely view - so full of memories for the pair of you ! Pleased you have found a maple to suit your needs -- It sound to be a beauty for all seasons ! - you must have a special planting ceremony and a toast for this !! :)
@beryl Yes we will Beryl…it only like dappled sun so will have to be careful where we put it in our south facing garden…among the other trees should be ok.
The tree sounds lovely - I would love to have it our garden.
As others say, the facial would be good to look forward to every month. They cost up to $200 though here!
