Colour! by happypat

Colour!

I do like a nice garden but I’m hopeless at imagining how it will look when the flowers are out.
Some people can visualise what a border will look like when it matures. Taller at the back & blending colours etc.
Well here we have a rhododendron that was there when we moved in but smothered with brambles. I planted the purple Alliums but never gave a thought to where I put them but it’s turned out quite arty……I love the clashing colours!!
A complete fluke I assure you!

Still sitting in the garden with the leg but it is improving slowly….a hamstring injury I think but sport hasn’t caused it!! 🤣🤣
A terrible nights sleep last night though. 😨
Beautiful color. Take credit for it. Hope the leg clears up soon. This aging thing......

A lovely splash of colour Pat. Hup for a while ! hope your leg gets better soon - at least it will give you an excuse to sit with you feet up during this nice weather!!!

Lovely splashes of colour. Reminds me of Princess Diana when she sat outside the Taj Mahal, looking very forlorn. I think she wore these colours

Looks striking, even if not by design! Hope your leg is back to normal soon.

Yes the aging thing! Harry & I have never been away from hospitals or doctors for the last nine months! I had a telephone strike assessment this morning & into outpatients next Tuesday for the same….six month review apparently.
Thank you for your good wishes.

You must have planted lots of alliums to get all these flowers! I just copied this: "You develop hamstring tendonitis if you overuse or overstretch the tendons. You might feel pain or notice swelling at the back of your thigh. Most people with hamstring tendonitis recover within a few days or weeks with rest and conservative (non-surgical) treatments."

Wow your garden is looking so pretty. Even if it is a fluke it looks good.

@happypat Maybe get your leg checked out with a doctor. I don't want to scare you but David had a DVT as he is prone to clots in both veins and arteries, so it is best to have it looked at. Is your leg swollen as well as sore?
The can arrange an ultrasound to make sure.

@onewing Thanks Babs for your care but thankfully I know it’s not that just an ordinary strain!
I know when I did it & made it far worse by gadding about Liverpool.
It’s slowly getting better & I can actually put my heel down now so progress!
I’m walking very badly just do as not to put more strain in it but I know it’s getting better & I slept well last night!
Good to have a very quiet week & the weather is amazing so getting a sun tan at the same time!
Haven’t been anywhere for five days very unlike me!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
